During the Trojan War, Eumelos, the son of Admetos (Admetus) and Alkestis (Alcestis), led the Achaian (Achaean) soldiers from Pherai, Boibe (Boebe), (Glaphyrae), Iaolkos (Iolcus) and the vicinity of the Boibeis Lake.
