Opoeis

A city in the domain of Aias.

  During the Trojan War, the Achaian (Achaean) cities in Lokris (Locris) commanded by Aias, son of Oileus, included Opoeis, Augeiai (Augeiae), Bessa, Kalliaros (Calliarus), Kynos (Cynus), Skarphe, Tarphe, and Thronion.

  The Achaian hero Patroklos (Patroklus) lived in Opoeis when he was young but left in disgrace because he murdered a man in an argument during a game of dice.
