Iton

A city in the domain of Protesilaos (Protesilaus).

  During the Tojan War, Protesilaos commanded the Achaian (Achaean) troops from Iton Antron, Phylake (Phylace), Pteleos, and Pyrasos (Pyrasus). Protesilaos was killed as soon as he landed on the beach at Troy, leaving his younger brother Podarkes (Podarces) in command.
