A district in the domain of Achilles.
During the Trojan War, Achilles commanded the Achaian (Achaean) soldiers from Pelasgian Argos including the territories of Hellas, Phthia and the cities of Alos, Alope, and Trachis.
The Hellenes, Myrmidons, and Phthians were essentially the same people. They all lived in the territory ruled by King Peleus and his son, Achilles.
