| The Treasury of Atreus is located several hundred yards southwest of the fortress of Mycenae ... this is a photo of the entrance ... the inside of the structure has a corbelled stone roof that is shaped like a cone and is often compared to a beehive ... the stones which line this entrance seem to be the largest ones used in the construction ... my fellow tourists can give you the scale of the stone blocks. |
