You’re lost in the labyrinth ... yes, leave a trail of thread to find your way out ... coming up with that idea was the easy part...
Now comes the hard part ... where are you going to get a mile or two of thread? Remember, this has to be really strong thread ... you don’t want it to break or you’ll be trapped in the labyrinth forever ... well, not really forever ... you’ll only be trapped until you meet the Minotaur ... he’ll have lunch and your troubles will be over.
The bull-man Minotaur was put in the maze of the labyrinth to punish the Athenians for their bad sportsmanship ... yea, they took sports really seriously back then ... anyway, King Minos made Poseidon mad and the Minotaur was the earthly manifestation of Poseidon’s divine wrath ... King Minos put the Minotaur in the labyrinth and now it’s up to you to walk through the front door, wander around dodging the Minotaur and then find your way out again.
Just to make it easier for you, let’s pretend that it’s winter time and you’re wearing an extra-large sweater ... you start unraveling the sweater and leave a thread-trail as you wander around the labyrinth ... so far so good ... just follow the thread back to the front door ... you might not get out of this with your sweater intact but at least you’ll be alive ... oh yea ... while we’re pretending ... let’s pretend that your sweater is not blue or red ... the Minotaur does enough huffing and snorting without you provoking him with a colorful sweater.
Good can usually defeat Bad ... unless Bad is a half-bull/half-man which was created by one of the gods ... in that case, Good should be very, very careful.
