Kalypso don’t want no dance partner ... well ... she likes to dance but that’s not why she wants you to come to her island.
Actually, Kalypso is pretty light on her dainty Nymph feet but she’s looking for more of a commitment than just a spirited dance partner ... it’s true that a school of music and dance was named after Kalypso but she never endorsed it and she certainly never allows any of those overdressed goof-balls on her island ... her island paradise just wouldn’t be the same if it was polluted by a cacophony of blaring trumpet music and left-footed dancers.
As you can probably tell, I just don’t go in for Caribbean music and dance ... I’ll take some good ole Aegean music with a double helping of circle dancing ... Kalypso could probably teach us all a few really cool new dance moves but she doesn’t really want any unnecessary hoofers prancing around on her island.
Wanna dance? Go to a cotillion and leave Kalypso alone.
