Achilles was the most deadly man in the world at the time of the Trojan War but his armor was not the coolest on the battlefield.
Actually, Achilles had some very cool weapons and his armor was beyond belief but he still only comes in second place when it comes to the coolest armor.
His spear was made from a Pelian ash tree and was so massive that only he could wield it ... the spear was made by Athene, Hephaistos and the centaur, Cheiron ... his armor was custom made by the god Hephaistos ... his original armor was lost and Hephaistos made him new armor ... Achilles’ new armor was so bright that when his goddess mother delivered it to him, the other soldiers could not look directly at it ... when Achilles charged into the Trojans he looked like a star flashing across the battlefield ... as cool as all that sounds, Achilles did not have the coolest armor at Troy.
Achilles was a cool choice but he was the wrong answer ... you can be cool and still be wrong ... well ... not too often ... but sometimes.
